One month ago while my brother's family was traveling from Utah to California for Christmas, his wife went into labor--six weeks early. After some difficult decisions, baby Maxwell was born and baby and mother were promptly separated as Max was transferred to a NICU 20 miles away. I flew to Texas a few days later and waited until the day I could meet baby Max. After returning from Texas, Hudson grew sick and seeing Max was out of the question until he was healthy. All I could do was crochet tiny beanies to feel close to him. Finally, last Saturday I was able to meet him and hold him and see my pefect tiny nephew. A baby blessing was given in the home of his grandparents with loved ones near, and he wore the cutes crochet booties. Max is doing well and growing stronger everyday. He's a true blessing and miracle.
